1913 - Thomas A. Sterling (Illinois Wesleyan 1875) elected U.S. senator from South Dakota.
1922 - Cecil J. Wilkinson (Ohio Wesleyan 1917) first reports as manager of the Fraternity office in Washington D.C.; he will retire as Executive Director in 1959.
1935 - Meredith Nicholson (Wabash 1892), U.S. ambassador to Paraguay, appointed ambassador to Venezuela.
1983 - Delta Phi Chapter installed at Jacksonville University, Florida.
